天壇南管祭儀
Nanguan and ceremony at the Temple of Heaven, Tainan
A traditional ceremony with nanguan music and chanting inside Tainan's Temple of Heaven (臺灣首廟天壇), recorded by Wu Tsan-cheng on 20 April 2023. Nanguan, the slow and refined chamber music of southern Fujian, is classically played on pipa, end-blown dongxiao, sanxian and erxian with a singer keeping time on clappers.
