Lotus Emerging on the Surface of Water
A traditional guzheng piece from the Hakka repertoire of Guangdong, quiet and plain in style. The lotus that rises clean out of the mud is an old Chinese image of integrity, and the music keeps that calm. From Liu Fang's guzheng album Emerging Lotus (2005).
