Taiwanese opera in a temple square, Luzhou
Recorded by Wu Tsan-cheng in the square of a temple in Luzhou, New Taipei City, on 22 October 2013. Gezaixi grew out of Hokkien folk song in early-20th-century Yilan and is sung in Taiwanese; outdoor performances on temporary stages remain part of temple festivals across Taiwan.
