Lion dance in Sha Tin: plucking the greens
Lion dance for the opening of business after Chinese New Year in Sha Tin, Hong Kong, recorded on 13 February 2008. In caiqing the lion 'plucks' a lettuce hung with a red packet, bringing luck to the shop. Southern lion dance (醒獅) is led by a large drum with gong and cymbals, the drummer following and driving the lion's every move.
