桃源里歌仔戲
Taiwanese opera in Taoyuan Village, Beitou
The evening show of the same day, 21 July 2013, recorded by Wu Tsan-cheng in Taoyuan Village in the hills of Beitou, Taipei. Gezaixi grew out of Hokkien folk song in early-20th-century Yilan and is sung in Taiwanese; outdoor performances on temporary stages remain part of temple festivals across Taiwan.
