鹽埕歌仔戲
Taiwanese opera in Yancheng, Kaohsiung
A short excerpt recorded by Wu Tsan-cheng on Qixian 3rd Road, Yancheng District, Kaohsiung, on 11 April 2012. Gezaixi grew out of Hokkien folk song in early-20th-century Yilan and is sung in Taiwanese; outdoor performances on temporary stages remain part of temple festivals across Taiwan.
