A Loyal Minister Does Not Fear Death

Sun Juxian (1841–1931), one of the great laosheng of the late Qing, sings Wu Jianzhang, the old minister who comes to court in mourning dress to denounce the new Sui emperor Yang Guang, sung by Liu Yongchun. The scene runs through xipi sanban, kuaiban and yaoban.
