Beiguan

Taiwan's loud, festive music of temple processions and luantan opera, kept by amateur clubs since the Qing dynasty. Suona and a battery of drums, gongs and cymbals lead the outdoor pieces; fiddles, flute, sanxian and ruan play the indoor string suites and accompany the sung arias.
